Jon Lester takes the mound tonight looking to pick up where he left off from his last start against Cleveland on Monday.  The Cubs are looking to bounce back after coming off back to back loses against last year’s Cy Young and NL MVP Clayton Kershaw, as well as the Giants ace Madison Bumgardner.

The Cubs bats have been quiet in the past few games accumulating only 6 hits in the last two games (3 in each game).  The Dodgers will send 6 year veteran Mat Latos to the mound tonight hoping he can show the Dodgers that he is worth being in the starting rotation.  Latos has struggled since coming to LA going 0-2 in three starts and allowing 10 earned runs in just 8.2 innings in his last two starts.  Beside a handful of players, the Cubs don’t have a lot of at-bats against the right hander and they’re only batting .194 as a team in their career against him.

With September right around the corner and the Pirates and Cardinals in sight the Cubs look to make a push.  The Cubs game will start at 8:10 CT tonight.  Jake Arrieta will be closing out the series tomorrow at 7:00 CT. #GoCubsGo #LetsGo
