The Bears on Saturday placed receiver Marquess Wilson on injured reserve with a foot injury and promoted defensive back Demontre Hurst from the practice squad.

Wilson appeared in the first 11 games this season with six starts, catching a career-high 28 passes for 464 yards and one touchdown. The 2013 seventh-round draft pick from Washington State has played in 28 games with 13 starts over three seasons, catching 47 passes for 617 yards and two TDs.

Hurst has appeared in 18 games over two seasons with the Bears, recording 35 tackles, one interception, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and nine special-teams tackles.

With Martellus Bennett and Wilson being placed on injured reserve this week, the Bears will roll with WRs Alshon Jeffrey, Josh Bellamy, Cameron Meredith, Marc Mariani, one legged Eddie Royal, and Deonte Thompson.   Most of those guys shouldn’t be in the league let alone starting.   We will see how the Bears move the ball Sunday as Jay Cutler has really struggled 2 of last 3 games.
