During a game against the Brooklyn Nets, Michael Carter-Williams left with an injury to his left knee. After receiving an MRI it was later revealed that he has a bone bruise in his left knee. This was supposed to keep him out for 3-4 weeks. He also suffered an injury to his left wrist. After receiving a CT scan the injury was identified as a sprain with a bone chip. This pushes his return date to sometime in January. With him missing 4-6 weeks what does this mean for the Bulls?
Denzel Valentine and Isaiah Canaan can look forward to increased minutes. This may even let R.J Hunter get some minutes. His shooting could really help fill in some of the scoring responsibility. The bench is going to have to really work to make up for missing contributions from Carter-Williams and McDermott who is still out due to a concussion suffered against the Wizards. Jimmy Butler will probably be used in line ups involving the second unit also in order to help make up for the missing scorers. Expect big games from Butler as he looks to carry this team.
