The Men In Red will be returning to the windy city after being away for 3 weeks. The three past away games didn’t play out as the Fire would have wanted it to, and yes the away form isn’t looking promising at the moment, but their form at home has been very strong. Chicago Fire has been unbeaten at home with a 3-0-1 record at home. Designated player Nemanja Nikolic has been playing solid at home. Nikolic has a total of 6 goals scored in his 9 games played, four of those goals being at home. Bastian Schweinsteiger has been performing good in his first 6 matches with the Fire scoring 2 goals. Dax McCarty and Juninho are a good combo to have in the midfield. Dax McCarty currently has 3 assists for the Fire.

Fire fans will be seeing some familiar faces this Saturday with former Chicago Fire homegrown player Harry Shipp making his return to Toyota Park. Also former players Joevin Jones, and Alvaro Fernandez. Chicago Fire defender Brandon Vincent will also be reuniting with old Stanford teammate Jordan Morris.

This is a very important game for the Fire, having only got 1 point from their past three games, the Fire needs to secure this win. Every home game must win. But the Fire can’t do everything themselves, they need the help of the fans to cheer on all throughout the 90 minutes. We the fans need to be there through thick and thin, not just when the fire are winning. Every team hits a rough patch but the Fire has been playing better than previous years. Chicago Fire is currently sitting in sixth place with 12 points. Their away form hasn’t been perfect but it can be improved throughout the season.
