The Fire invade the Lion’s Den and the land of Mickey Mouse when they head south to take on Orlando City. The Fire will try to keep their winning streak going. The Fire have a four game winning streak and had one of the best one month record in May. But they will head into the next two matches without their Mid-field engine Dax McCarty. Mccarty was called into US Men’s National Team Camp ahead of two important World Cup Qualifiers.

The Orlando match will be a big challenge, Orlando have six victories second best in MLS tied with the Fire. Fire central defensive pair Johann Kapplehoff and Jao Meira will have the difficult task of stopping one of the best forwards in MLS Cyle Larin, who has eight of Orlando’s 16 goals. But the Fire’s defense allowed just four goals the entire month of May. Fire goal keeper matt Lampson will certainly have to be at his shot stopping best. The Fire will look to record their first ever win over Orlando. David Accam will hope to add to five straight match with a sixth straight goal. Orlando has their own speedy player, Carlos Rivas who has 2 goals and 5 assists has many of the same qualities as Accam. Accam has seven goals and four assists. So which speedster will come out ahead? Both the Fire and the Orlando will hope it is their player.

The match will also have an interesting side bar, it will be the first meeting between Bastian Schweinsteiger, then with Bayern Munich since Johnson then with Portland tackled the German star in the 2014 All Star game and caused an ankle injury to Schweinsteiger. It then led to handshake gate, when Pep Guardiola, Bayern Munich head coach refused to shake Caleb Porter’s hand after the match. Caleb Porter was coaching the MLS All Stars. Schweinsteiger had this to say about the match, “they have a very good team, they’re dangerous, especially at home they are good.” “I hope we can try to win there or have a good game.” With McCarty away at US Camp, the questions remains who will pair with Scweinsteiger in the mid-field? Can the rested Fire waltz in to the land of Mickey and grab three points? Can the fire keep up their hot streak or will Orlando get out the Fire extinguishers? These questions and more will be asked by Fire fan enquiring minds this Sunday.
