The Bulls (14-26) are back at home tonight taking on the Houston Rockets (27-11). Chicago will be looking to rebound from an ugly loss Saturday night in Indy. The Bulls were flat on Saturday and got outplayed in every way. Their defense is really poor right now and they have a tough test against the Rockets on Monday.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The Bulls have allowed 124+ points in each of their last 4 games (yikes).

Let’s hope it’s not 5 in a row tonight.

  • The Rockets are 2nd in the NBA with 114.8 points per game (behind only the Warriors). They will be without James Harden, but they are a dangerous team who still have Chris Paul running the show.
  • Chicago has lost 4 out of their last 5 games. After a shocking period of good play, the Bulls seem to have come back down to earth. They currently have the 7th worst record in the NBA.
  • Injury Notes:
    • The Bulls will be without Zach LaVine and Cameron Payne tonight. Nikola Mirotic is also listed as doubtful for tonight’s game (stomach virus).
    • The Rockets have ruled out Nene, Luc Mbah a Moute, and James Harden.

The game tonight starts at 7:00 PM CT and can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago.

BONUS NOTE:

Zach LaVine is set to meet with the Bulls sometime before tonight’s game. The plan is to target a return date and we could be looking at as early as this Saturday’s game against Detroit.

Kris Dunn was quoted at shootaround saying that Zach has been doing windmills and between the leg dunks during practice, so he should be good to go soon.

Let’s hope we see some of this soon.
