The Chicago Bulls begin a 3 game road trip Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.

The Hawks, currently have the 3rd worst record in the league at 13-31 but are on a two-game win streak. The Bulls are currently 17-28 and are coming off a loss to the defending champs on Wednesday night. Not only did the Bulls lose the game, they also lost their starting PG Kris Dunn indefinitely with a concussion. It was a scary fall but it looks like, thankfully, he will be okay. The Bulls won their last matchup with the Hawks at the United Center 91-86.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Jerian Grant is set to start at PG in place for Kris Dunn. G Ryan Arcidiacono has been called up from the G-League. I would expect a mix of Grant/Valentine/Arcidiacono and maybe LaVine to get some minutes at PG today.
  • Speaking of LaVine, the plan is for Zach to play upwards of 24 minutes today. He will be able to play in the 4th quarter as well. He’ll be looking to rebound from a 2/12 shooting performance on Wednesday night.
  • The Bulls have lost 5 in a row in Atlanta.
  • Injury Notes:
    • Chicago: Kris Dunn and Cameron Payne have been ruled out.
    • Atlanta: No injuries to report.

The game starts today at 4:00 CST and can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago.

I always like to end these previews with a video or memory of my favorite game against the opposition.

Here’s my favorite (recent) memory against the Hawks.

Man, D Rose was so nice.
