The Chicago Bulls (18-31) are back at home Sunday to take on the Milwaukee Bucks (25-22). This will be the 3rd meeting between the two teams, with Chicago winning the previous two.

These are two teams who appear to be moving in opposite directions as the Bulls have lost 3 straight and are struggling mightily without starting PG Kris Dunn, who remains out with a concussion. Coach Fred Hoiberg said after Friday night’s loss vs the Lakers that there is a “lack of energy” with the Bulls right now. Zach LaVine struggled once more and finished with 10 points on 3-of-17 shooting.

The Bucks, however, are on a two-game winning streak after firing Jason Kidd. Giannis Antetokounmpo (yes I googled to spell check) finished with a crazy stat line of 41 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists on Friday in a win against the Brooklyn Nets. The Bulls will have their hands full trying to slow him down.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The Chicago Bulls have won 3 straight games against the Milwaukee Bucks AKA the little brother from up north. I know Bucks fans hate that.
  • The Bulls bench is coming off a great game Friday night and will look to continue their strong play on Sunday.
    • Nikola Mirotic finished with a game-high 18 points, while Denzel Valentine chipped in with a double-double, and Bobby Portis finished with 16 points and a plus/minus of +19.
  • Hot from 3: The Bulls have made at least 10 threes in each of their last 11 home games.
  • Injury Notes
    • The Bulls will be without both Cameron Payne and Kris Dunn tonight. Jerian Grant will draw the start at PG again.
    • For the Bucks, Jabari Parker, Malcolm Brogdon, and Mirza Teletovic are out.

Just as a reminder, it’s an early game, with a scheduled tip-off at 2:30 PM CT.

For all my hip-hop fans out there, have you guys heard Lil Wayne’s new mixtape, “Dedication 6: Reloaded”? Specifically, the track “Big Bad Wolf”? There’s never a bad time to talk about Lil Wayne but this feels like the perfect time to do so, as the Bulls are playing the Bucks, and Antetokounmpo today.

If you haven’t listened to it, I advise you to do so because somehow Wayne rhymes about 35 different words with Antetokounmpo, which is very impressive. Listen to this at around the 3:15 mark. He even got a shoutout on Twitter.
