No one fan base is more excited than Bears’ fans heading into the 2018 season. As everyday passes the excitement mounts a little more each day. So, once opening day is upon us, I am sure most of us will be crying tears of joy. Looking at our players from last year and the new additions during free agency this year, let’s look at how they will perform heading into the new campaign.

Mitchell Trubisky: 3,800 passing yards, 31 passing touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 300 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 2 fumbles lost.

Jordan Howard: 1,200 rushing yards, 9 rushing touchdowns, 30 receptions, 2 receiving touchdowns, 1 fumble lost.

Tarik Cohen: 400 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 55 receptions, 6 receiving touchdowns, 2 fumbles lost, 2 punt return touchdowns.

Trey Burton: 800 receiving yards, 65 receptions, 7 receiving touchdowns.

Allen Robinson: 1,300 receiving yards, 87 receptions, 9 touchdowns.

Akiem Hicks: 50 tackles, 10 sacks, 3 forced fumbles.

Leonard Floyd: 50 tackles, 12 sacks, 2 forced fumbles.

Danny Trevathan: 120 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 forced fumble.

Kyle Fuller: 70 tackles, 5 interceptions, 1 pick six, 2 forced fumbles.

Adrian Amos: 80 tackles, 5 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles.

Eddie Jackson: 60 tackles, 6 interceptions, 1 forced fumble.

These are all just projections, based off of last years stats and inflating them to fit a projected (dream) 16 game start. I hope every player has a career year and wish all the best! #BearDown

NFLNut: I completely agree with you that 4 Qb”s will be selected in the first 6 picks, which should give the Bucs the option to either select Chubb, Barkley or Nelson. However, I disagree with you on Derwin James. Also, his two interceptions he had last year were the same amount that Denzel Ward had. He also had more pass break ups, significantly more tackles, sacks, tackle for loss and caused fumbles than Ward. One NFC Scout had the following to say about Derwin: He is going to be the dude in any locker room he ends up in. That”s his makeup. Physically, he”s probably more talented than Jamal Adams but Adams was more consistent as a player. Derwin is still learning so he has a sky-high projection if his play can catch up to the talent. – NFC Scouting Director
