Alan Gordon, a player who didn’t take long to make a mark in a red jersey. Alan Gordon is known for his last minute headers and game winners with his former clubs, but when the 36 year-old joined the club fans were upset in the decision made by the front office. But Gordon quickly made those haters into fans wanting more. Gordon now has 4 goals in 12 matches this season, that’s 2 less goals than 2017 Golden boot leader Nemanja Nikolic.

Alan Gordon has scored his first goal in the 90 minute to tie Toronto FC away 2-2. But that wasn’t the only moment Gordo came in clutch.  Gordon also scored in his last three appearances against Orlando City and San Jose, ended with the Fire beating both 2-1, but coming short against Philadelphia losing 3-1.

A player many thought wouldn’t do anything at all seems to be on the score sheet a lot recently. Bastian Schwienstiger not to long ago called out certain rookies and vets on how they should be running the team, Gordon being one of them. Since that comment, Gordon has gone to score 3 goals.

While the Fire are still struggling to stay consistent, they are starting to get more scoring options with Gordon and Katai scoring more frequently.

With the Fire traveling to Ohio to go against Rivals Columbus Crew for the Open Cup, they Fire are in need for more scoring options.

Will we see Alan Gordon score tonight against the Crew?
