Coming off a 3-0 loss to Toronto FC who had previously defeated the Fire at home 2-1. The Fire have been having a very tough time this year with their entire back line. Chicago Fire has conceded 48 goals in only 23 season matches. Goalkeeper Richard Sanchez has conceded 2.76 goals a game, having crucial mistakes costing the team many matches, it may be his time to go.

With only 11 season games left and the Eastern Conference getting tighter in points, if the Fire doesn’t change right, they definitely won’t make it in the playoffs.

Nelson Rodriquez’s three year plan took a quick turn for disaster, after their promising 2017 campaign, finishing in 3rd place.

Why have we failed to replicate last season? We lost key players this year due to injury, and most during the off-season transfers. From that point the club never brought any key players into the team, except Aleksander Katai, who still isn’t the answer to the Fires prayers. Katai can definitely produce and be that player we need next season, but this season what Chicago need to put their time and resources on if strengthening a very weak defense and replacing a sloppy Richard Sanchez.

The biggest problem for years was always the defense. The Fire never seemed to have difficultly In finding the back of the net (maybe in 2015-16).

If the Fire never work on bringing better “proven” defenders into the team then the same thing will keep happening. At this point with the defense we have MLS cup is no where near our reach. The last hope we all (Fire fans) have now is the US open cup.
