Another disappointing loss for Chicago Fire.

While the regular season seems un-savable, the US Open Cup seemed yet again in the reach. Chicago Fire like last year we’re found once again in the Semifinals, how you may ask? Well no one knows.

They faced Philadelphia Union, they had faced them 2 times before this match and lost both. Chicago Fire has rested their key player In their previous match against Real Salt Lake to have them well rested for tonight’s match. Chicago Fire ended up losing against Real Salt Lake, and with their well rested players they lost against Philadelphia Union.

So where did they go wrong? Losing 3-0 in the semifinal surely should turn heads in wondering how is it possible or how was it possible.

Chicago have repeatedly disappointed fans this season, with lack of signings, struggling to win matches, and the ban of section 101 and now the loss in the US open cup semifinal.

Things have to change, coaching staffs need to change, players who aren’t the solution need to be cut. The ones behind the scenes have to realize this team is no where near what it should be. A team that finished 3rd last season, made it to the usoc semifinals, MLS Cup playoffs, and was a contender for the Supporter Shield should not be close to last place in just one year.

What happened to Nelson Rodriguez “3-year plan”, what happened to the “surprises” he said he’d have during the transfer windows?

Its rumored that Head coach Veljko Paunovic will be dismissed from the club sometime this week, but is he truly the problem? Is it Nelson ? Is it Andrew? Or is it the players themselves? Who’s to blame?
