Cubs Kyle Schwarber celebrated the second annual Neighborhood Heroes Block Party, a fundraiser for his Neighborhood Heroes Foundation that supports first responders in the Chicago/Cincinnati area.
In keeping with a Cubs tradition started by teammate Dexter Fowler after their historic World Series win, Kyle made sure to thank his teammates and coaches for supporting Neighborhood Heroes with the ultimate gift of gratitude – Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch whisky.
As the son of a police chief, I recognize the unique sacrifice first responders and their families make every day. It’s an honor to be able to celebrate these people who are keeping Chicago safe alongside my coaches and teammates. As a thank you for their support of this foundation, I’m giving each of them a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Their advocacy of Neighborhood Heroes not only means so much to me, but most importantly, to our Cubs fans who live in this great city that we call home. Together we raise a glass of Johnnie Walker Blue Label to these outstanding first responders who are serving their communities and making a difference in Chicago.
