The Bulls continue to drop in the Eastern Conference standings as they have lost three straight games.

The Bulls continue a long stretch of away games–a situation that will continue to kill the once-leading Eastern Conference record. After three straight road losses, the Bulls have dropped to 41-29 overall and 16-19 on the road. The Bulls remain 5th in the East but are only 0.5 games ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers and two games ahead of the seventh-place Toronto Raptors. Who do the Bulls play Monday night on the road? The Toronto Raptors. I didn’t expect a late-season game in Toronto to be super important this season, but here we are. The Bulls look to try and stay out of the play-in games this postseason, and this game is crucial in ensuring that doesn’t happen.

After the critical game against Toronto, the Bulls travel to Milwaukee Tuesday night to face the foes from up north.

The Bucks remain 2.5 games ahead of Chicago and in third place in the East. This season, the Bulls have yet to defeat the Bucks but have made both games close. The Bulls wrap up March with games against the Pelicans, Cavaliers, Knicks, Wizards, and Clippers. Winning three or four of those five games is essential for the Bulls to remain out of the play-in games. The April games do not treat Chicago well. In April, the Bulls play four of the top teams in the entire league: the Heat, Bucks, Celtics, and finish it against the Timberwolves. The trajectory the Bulls have fallen down puts them in the play-in game come playoff time. The Bulls need to beat the teams they’re supposed to. The Bulls are 2-8 in their last 10, 0-15 against top-three seeded teams in both conferences, and have only two significant wins against competitive teams this season. The time to win is now.

With the regular season ending soon, this also means essential things regarding the Bulls’ health: the Bulls are close to being fully healthy.

Head coach Billy Donovan has some promising news about Patrick Williams: he is back against the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

“He’s anxious to get back. Physically, he feels good…He wants to come back and play,” Donovan said.

Williams has been out for most of the season with a wrist injury. Williams is in the second season of his career and was the Bulls’ first-round pick in 2020. His return is massive news for a team that has lacked play from big men all season. Williams provides another body to put against the bigger foes in the East.
