Following the final day of games, the Bulls will play the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2022 playoffs. The Bulls finished as the six-seed in the Eastern Conference with a 46-36 regular-season record.

The Bulls finished 0-4 against the Bucks this season and most recently fell to the Bucks, 127-106 on April 5th.

DeMar DeRozan played well during those four games, scoring 31.3 points per game on 47.5 % from the field. Zach Lavine played in two games against the Bucks this season. He was recently sidelined during the final game on April 5th. In those two games, Zach averaged 25.5 points per game.

The Bucks and Bulls most recently played in the playoffs in 2015. The Bulls defeated the Bucks 4-2 in the seven-game series.

In this season, the Bulls had both Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. The most significant moment of the series came when young, third-year Giannis Antetokounmpo shoved Mike Dunleavy Jr. to the ground while the Bucks trailed by 30 in the closeout game. Antetokounmpo received a flagrant 2 foul, and the Bulls finished the series later that night.

The Bulls have a chance to regain health in preparation for the seven-game series, which starts April 17th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the final game of the season, head coach Billy Donovan rested most of his starters, giving the younger players a chance to compete. The Bulls defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-120 in Minneapolis. In this game, Patrick Williams showed up and showed out, scoring a career-high 35 points in the victory. Williams brought out a few moves he hadn’t used in a game before, including switching hands while in the air and making a layup.

In game 82, Williams proved he can be a force to be reckoned with and can be a third or fourth option behind DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine. The Bulls will need all the help they can get against the Bucks, a team that hasn’t beat Giannis since late December 2017.
