Bulls Drop Back to Back Home Games

The Chicago Bulls took on the New Orleans Pelicans & the Denver Nuggets at home this week, picking up a loss in both contests. Bulls fans expected more from a team that had just three total games in the week, including a four-day break. The Bulls had a very competitive game against the Pelicans on Wednesday, but the Pelicans were able to outplay the Bulls in the clutch, which lead to the team’s 7th loss on the season. However, Sunday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets was a complete different story. The Bulls entered this game coming off of four days of rest that should have led to a re-energized team. In reality, the Denver Nuggets came into Chicago, and blew out a Bulls team that looked drained. The performance drew in multiple criticisms from Bulls fans on social media, and even Billy Donovan and Zach LaVine who thought it was a terrible performance. The Bulls will have another three day rest before they take on the New Orleans Pelicans in a rematch on the road.

The Bulls will play in just two games this week, allowing them to gain well needed rest coming off of the loaded schedule to start the season. The first game the Bulls will play this week comes on Wednesday in the previously mentioned rematch against the Pelicans. The Bulls will look to get quick revenge, but they must remain composed, and play with high energy to take down the youthful team. Chicago will come back home to close out their week on Friday against the Magic. The key to defeating the Magic is to hold rookie Paolo Banchero in check. Banchero has had a great start to his rookie season, averaging 23.5 points per game and 8 rebounds per game. Holding him in check should lead to an easier path to victory, but of course the Bulls will still have to execute offensively and defensively against Orlando.
