Before Monday night’s road game in Philadelphia, Joel Embiid had been 12-0 against the Chicago Bulls in his career. The Bulls finally snapped the streak in another double-OT victory.

Joel Embiid has been a dominant force in the NBA this season. Chasing his first career NBA trophy and a first championship, he has led the 76ers to a strong position in the Eastern Conference standings as the playoffs approach. Entering Monday, the Bulls were winless against the 76ers when Joel Embiid had played. The team finally snapped that curse in a long-awaited moment for the Bulls fanbase. While being 1-12 against one superstar in the NBA is nothing to be proud of, the victory against one of the best teams in the Conference was.

The Chicago Bulls have entered a 3-game win streak as they look to replicate last night’s victory on Wednesday night back home in Chicago. The season series currently sits at 2-1 in favor of the Bulls. The series will end tomorrow night when the Bulls look to stun the 76ers by taking the series in a commanding fashion.

Patrick Beverley Commands a Strong Record

The Chicago Bulls are 8-4 since signing Pat Bev, a strong turnaround compared to the rest of the season. Two losses came against game-winners scored by Deaaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton. However, losses are still losses, and the Bulls should still blame their overall play in those two home defeats.

Bulls fans have noticed a more determined team headed into the postseason. The Bulls sit at 10th seed in the East, good enough to make the play-in tournament. Chicago sits one game back from the 8th seed and two games ahead of the 11th-seeded Wizards, putting them in a vital spot with just 11 games remaining. While it would take a miracle to avoid the play-in by jumping up to the 6th spot in the East, the Bulls head into the season’s final stretch with a blast of momentum following them, preparing them for a battle to win the play-in tournament.
