Super Bowl LIX Is Another Reminder for What the Bears Must Do
The Super Bowl can give many teams that didn’t make it a blueprint.
However, that blueprint has been around for some time, and now it’s time for the Bears to learn.
Both the Chiefs and Eagles have done things that at least half the teams in the NFL have struggled with.
For the Eagles, it was building an all-time team through the draft with a couple of added bonuses with AJ Brown’s trade and Saquon Barkley’s signing.
The Chiefs were evolving from an out offensive attack to a strong defense that could keep the opposing offense in check while Mahomes made timely plays.
They also have done something that the Bears have neglected for too long: Build from the inside out.

Eagles have become the model for constructing an offensive and defensive line. They have also spent wisely shaping both lines into a powerhouse.
The Chiefs learned their lesson after Super Bowl 55, and while it didn’t work in this year’s Super Bowl, there is no denying they did make the necessary changes to their team after the defeat against the Buccaneers and Tom Brady.
The Bears ranked in the bottom third of the NFL regarding money spent. Also, in Ryan Pole’s time as General Manager, have only taken 2 offensive linemen in the first 3 rounds of his first 3 drafts.
While the flashy pick of Ashton Jeanty in the 1st round of this year’s draft to lead a Ben Johnson rushing attack is intriguing and gives Bears fans dreams, it isn’t the right pick… not without meaningful additions in Free Agency.
No, now it’s all about protecting #1 pick Caleb Williams; otherwise, Williams’s career won’t live up to the hype.
It is time for the Chicago Bears to learn their lesson finally.
