The Defensive Line Will Be a Key Factor for Bears This Season

This entire offseason has been about all the improvements the Bears have made to their offense.
Got #1 pick Caleb Williams and his pass catchers are DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, Cole Kmet, and Colston Loveland.
They are spearheaded by head coach Ben Johnson and his creative genius.
However, the Bears’ defensive line will be 🔑 to their success.

The Eagles took on the almighty Kansas City Chiefs and straight up dominated.
Montez Sweat, who was traded for, has been the Bears’ lone true pass rusher so far in Ryan Poles’ tenure.
The Bears chose not to draft an edge rusher high, so Dennis Allen must make the pass rush work.

Grady Jarrett and Dayo Odeyingbo were brought in and weren’t cheap.
Dayo was brought in for his upside, even though the Colts only gave him 3 sacks last year.
Jarrett, a long-time leader of the Atlanta Falcons, was brought over for that exact reason. He pairs nicely with the other DTs on the roster in Gervon Dexter and, hopefully, a healthy Andrew Billings.
If Bears can get a nice pass rush, you could be looking at a very complementary football team that will surely make Ben Johnson happy.
