A Thrilling Victory

Miraculously, the Chicago Bulls came back after being down 11 points with just 2 minutes and 18 seconds left in the 4th quarter to take their first overtime victory of the season. DeMar DeRozan came up with an incredible steal that allow the Bulls to tie the game up on an Ayo Dosunmu layup that would force overtime. Despite allowing 4 unanswered points to the Bucks early in overtime, the Bulls would persevere to take the win. The Bulls were led by DeRozan, who turned it up down the stretch following a cheap shot by Grayson Allen, finishing the game with 42 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Zach LaVine added 24 points on the night, shooting 44 percent from the field. Credit must be given to Giannis Antetokounmpo who dropped 45 points, 22 rebounds, and 7 assists. DeMar and Giannis dueled in an incredible performance following the historic night that Luka Dončić had the previous night.

Clutch Play in Overtime

Nikola Vucevic drilled a massive three-pointer that would give the Bulls a one point lead with under 90 seconds to go in overtime. Vucvevic stepped up in a big time moment that would shift the momentum of the game completely in favor of the Bulls. Although Giannis had 45 points, Patrick Williams provided big time defense down the stretch against Giannis, holding Giannis to just 1 field goal made of 8 attempts in overtime, sealing the victory for Chicago. DeRozan provided consecutive clutch buckets, and assists that put the Bulls over the top. With the bounce back after Monday’s poor loss, the Chicago Bulls have won their last 4 of 5 games. The Bulls are now 7-1 this season against the Celtics, Nets, Heat, and Bucks.
